SigEx reported record total equity growth thanks to providing unique combination of well-known services from the important media players and enhanced telecom capacity (integrated phone services for example), popularity of the social network sites and permanent growth of partner's social networks. SigEx plays important role in digital communication area, providing digital stream broadcasting to the most popular and the "coolest" social networks, including utilities such as video-rooms, integrated phone services or SMS communicating, connecting those networks with people who love being on-line, social networking and having fun. "Having fun" includes uploading and sharing video clips through the on-line TV, video-emails, blogs and websites, connecting cell-phones and I-net and all this without restrictions such as borders, different countries or world-views. "This has been a fast-paced quarter for social entertainment properties," Frédéric Artru, SigEx President and Chief Operating Officer, says. And Chris Cantell, SigEx Chief Executive Office adds "We are very pleased with how well quality entertainment is offering the ultimate user experience." And when the users are satisfied with entertainment that SigEx and its social networks partners are rendering, SigEx is satisfied as well. In the language of numbers, SigEx remarked total equity growth in 2007 in amount €188 Million, which means 96 % increase over FY 2006 equity growth. Equity growth for the last quarter 2007 totaled €98 Million up 27% from the last quarter 2006 of €77 Million.

Detroit Mayor extramarital affair unveiled by Tatiana Hadarova

Last week a scandalous unfolding was made, when romantic text messages unveiled an extramarital affair between Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Chief of Staff Christien Beatty. What is worse for them that 6 years ago, in 2002 and 2003 they both denied any rumours about having any affair, but Detroit Free Press said in its story published last Thursday that it examined 14.000 text messages on Beatty's pager from those years and found lots of examples. Kilpatrick and Beatty testified last summer in a trial of one of two whistleblower lawsuits that have cost taxpayers more than 9 million U.S. dollars. Now they are being investigating whether they lied under oath when they denied having any romantic and sexual ties between them. The most shocking fact about this case is that they were both unveiled by flirtatious text messages, which were found on thier pagers and mobile phones. "These five and six-year old messages reflect a very difficoult period in my personal life ", Kilpatrick said. "It is profoundly embarassing to have these extremely private messages now displayed in such a public manner.My wife and I worked our way through these intensely personal issue years ago." Both Kilpatrick and Beatty are now dealing with the matter privately. Kilpatrick is now asked to resign by union which represents 900 municipal workers. Reactions and opinions of city council workers and Detroit citizens are mixed.
